Every industry has its terminology, and sheet metal processing is no exception. Here are 25 common ones.
(1) pressure riveting: it refers to the process in which the fasteners such as the pressure riveting nut, the pressure riveting screw or the pressure riveting nut column are firmly pressed on the workpiece by a punch machine or an oil press machine.
(2) riveting: refers to the workpiece sinkhole, and then the use of punch or hydraulic press riveting nut firmly pressed on the workpiece process.

(10) blanking: refers to the process in which the workpiece is blanked by LASER or CNC punch.
(11) blanking: refers to the process of using molds to process the shape of products on ordinary presses or other equipment.
(12) punching: refers to the process in which the workpiece is processed by ordinary punch and die.
(13) punch bump: refers to the process in which the workpiece is formed into a convex shape by a mould used in a punch or hydraulic press.
(14) punching and tearing: also known as "punching bridge", refers to the process of forming the workpiece into a bridge-like shape by means of a mould in a punch or hydraulic press.
(15) hole extraction: also known as "flanging", refers to the process of turning the workpiece into a round hole by using a mold on a common punch or other equipment. Process.
(16) tapping: refers to the process of machining internal thread on the workpiece.
(17) leveling: refers to the process in which the workpiece is not smooth before and after processing and other equipment is used to level the workpiece.

(23) patting: refers to the process of transitioning workpiece with a certain shape to leveling.
(24) punching holes: refers to the holes punched out of the mesh on the workpiece with a die in a common punch or a CNC punch.
(25) reaming: refers to the process of machining small holes on the workpiece into large holes with a drill or a milling cutter
